Mastercard is seeking a Content Designer to partner with our product designers, product managers, researchers, and go-to-market teams.
Our customers include issuing banks, merchants, and payment service providers implementing our real-time payment solutions. We are building products to enable digital payment experiences at scale, such as Click to Pay and Secure Card on File (Tokenization). Our mission is to make payments simpler, more efficient, and more secure. Our customers and their experiences are multi-faceted and globally diverse.
The role involves planning and creating content for products, continually improving that content, and evolving our voice and content standards.
Role
* Work alongside a cross-functional team to build and enhance Mastercard’s core digital payment experiences, ensuring content is consistent, on-brand, and meets customer and business needs.
* Plan, write, edit, and test content including language used in the product interface (CTAs, labels, etc.), product education materials, product names, navigation (including information architecture), and other content.
* Support research efforts to understand product comprehension and usability, and work with designers and product managers to incorporate feedback into product design.
* Work with our reporting and optimization team to analyze content performance and use data to seek opportunities to optimize product performance.
* Ensure all content complies with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Collaborate with the design team to maintain design and content infrastructure.
* Advocate a customer-centric approach by helping product teams focus on customer problems, opportunities, and successful outcomes.
About you
* Showcase previous content work, including samples across various content types such as user interfaces, microcopy, user education, emails, style guides, or product launch content.
* Experience in both high-level content strategy (information architecture, content strategy) and low-level microcopy writing, combining both for end-to-end experiences.
* Solid research skills, including interviewing, surveys, card sorting, and affinity mapping to assess comprehension.
* Understanding of what works in consumer-facing products and how it impacts interaction design.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
* Proven experience delivering high-standard outputs in a large enterprise environment.
* Advanced skills in tools like Figma and FigJam.
