Job Title: Nursing Leadership Role
The role of Assistant Director of Nursing presents a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team in delivering high-quality care to service users. This position requires an experienced and enthusiastic individual with excellent leadership skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain up-to-date Individual Care Plans (ICPs) to ensure the highest quality and safety standards are met.
* Ensure familiarity with and adherence to local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
* Utilize company IT systems as instructed and maintain confidentiality of company and personal data.
* Act responsibly and cooperate with regulators in the best interests of the service and its users.
* Maintain high levels of infection control standards and promote a safe working environment.
Clinical Leadership:
* Provide nursing assessments of patients admitted to the service.
* Prepare for, participate in, and attend ward rounds and other multi-professional meetings.
* Ensure a high standard of nursing care during procedures and treatments.
* Maintain patients' rights under the Mental Health Act.
* Complete supervision and appraisals of junior staff members.
Requirements:
* Registration on or eligibility to be on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (QQ1 Level 8 or higher) or equivalent.
* A minimum of 5+ years post-qualification/registration Psychiatric nursing experience.
* A minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in a management position within psychiatric nursing.
