The Group's Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Lakeland Dairies is seeking an experienced
Commercial Accountant
who will play a key role supporting the business with financial insight, analysis, and reporting to drive commercial decision-making. The person will ensure accurate financial information, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and provides strategic insight to optimise profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop Pricing Strategies in collaboration with Commercial teams, maintain pricing models; advise on pricing mechanisms and margin protection.
* Provide financial insight to support commercial proposals, negotiations, and long‑term sales planning.
* Prepare monthly sales reports, KPIs, and analysis packs; support annual reporting.
* Deliver forecasting, variance analysis, trend insights, and scenario modelling.
* Lead budgeting cycles and ensure accurate financial data across pricing, rebates, accruals, and contracts.
* Monitor key cost drivers and highlight margin risks/opportunities.
* Strengthen financial controls and support audit requirements.
* Improve reporting processes, automation, and modelling tools.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
* Effective business partnering and communication skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to simplify complex data.
* Adaptable, deadline‑driven, and committed to accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
* Proven experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or management accounting.
* Background in FMCG, food, commodities, or dairy (highly advantageous).
* Experience with a variety of pricing strategies, margin analysis, and generating meaningful insight to support effective commercial decision making.
