Overview
Services Payments Operations – Worldlink Operations Head role at Citi. The Worldlink Operations Head is a senior Services Operations manager directly managing a global team of process specialists responsible for efficient operation of Worldlink, a premier Cross Border payment product with a market leading position. The role provides best-in-class service to clients while maintaining risk levels within the firm’s risk appetite and protecting the franchise in line with Citi policies and risk framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day to day processing activities of Worldlink Payments processing at hubs globally and ensure all processes are performed in accordance with policies, procedures and OKRs set by management.
* Partner with Business Management to ensure alignment with Product and Sales strategy; enable the business through Operations and proactive improvements to provide a competitive edge.
* Develop proactive operational and client insights to intelligently utilize operational data to identify opportunities for enhancing product capabilities and client experience.
* Ensure a robust risk and control framework; work with Risk & Control partners to ensure management self-assessments, corrective action plans, and other deliverables are completed on time.
* Collaborate with Client Service Teams to address client escalations in a timely manner and minimize such instances over time.
* Perform proactive reviews to prevent processing issues, identify root causes, oversee remediation efforts, and ensure sustainability of improvements; represent Worldlink Operations in internal audits, compliance and regulatory matters as required.
* Manage staff performance and drive continuous improvement of process quality and productivity targets.
* Oversee quality reviews, budget, policy formulation, and planning.
* Lead and drive employee engagement and career development of teams in the global Worldlink Operations Organization.
* Continuously review processes and drive operational efficiency.
* Own and resolve highly complex issues with potential impact across clients and processing teams globally.
* Collaborate with Sanctions, Control Functions, FinCrime, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues affecting Worldlink and ensure learnings are embedded across Operations.
* Manage multiple teams including remote teams and provide support to peers in other processing centers.
* Stay abreast of Citi policy changes, assess impact on Services procedures, and partner with internal teams to adopt changes consistently and sustainably.
Education level and/or relevant experience
* Experience in Transaction Banking products and operations, with experience evaluating regulatory/compliance discussions.
* Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end Payments lifecycle and processing activities.
* Experience dealing with and influencing cross-functional teams and handling policies and issues.
* 15+ years of relevant regional and/or global experience in a financial institution.
* Bachelor’s degree in any subject preferred; an advanced degree (Master’s, MBA or Accounting) would be an advantage.
