You will find Nordson employees sharing our success by giving back in the communities around the world where we live and work.**Job Summary**The Financial Accountant position applies principles of accounting and other process skills to manage the monthly close and support other accounting and reporting requirements along with oversight and leadership to a small team.**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities*** Manages the completion and preparation of the monthly financial statements to Corporate, including process for review of subsidiary financial packages, reconciliations of intercompany statements, adjusting entries and intercompany profit analysis resulting in high quality and accurate financial statements* Coordinates the monthly close process, including but not limited to journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, assessments, etc. This also includes the monthly financial package review and submission using the Onestream tool.* Reviews subsidiary financial reporting processes to ensure compliance to US GAAP and internal accounting policies.* Manages and maintains the integrity of the Financial set up in the IFS ERP System* Prepares and/or reviews monthly account reconciliations.* Assists with technical accounting issues, e.g., gross profit and purchase price accounting.* Manages and assists annual external audit processes.* Manages and assists with R&D Tax Credits, annual tax returns and completion of annual Statutory Financial Statements* Partners with peers on the team, as well as cross functionally with those in other areas such as FP&A, HR, Treasury, Tax, Internal Leadership and Business Group personnel.* Prepares Ad hoc analyses and reporting as requested.* Manages and assists with coordination of Payroll processes.* Manages and assists with coordination of Accounts Receivable collection processes.* Manages and assists with coordination of Accounts Payable payment processes.* Manages and assists with special projects as required.* Ensures appropriate staff are trained and cross trained on all relevant activities.* Manages all relevant accounting processes and systems and ensure all processes are properly documented.* Ensures properly developing team to take on additional duties and responsibilities, enhance employee engagement and continue to drive performance management of all team members.* Supervises a team of accounting staff positions**Education and Experience Requirements*** Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)* Minimum 2-5 years related post-qualified experience.* Prior supervisory experience or project management experience a plus**Preferred Skills and Abilities*** Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.* Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.* Strong technical accounting skills.* High level of integrity and reliability.* Strong initiative to meet deadlines consistently in an accounting function responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting monthly.* Ability to manage multiple tasks well, especially during monthly close cycle, and change priorities as needed.* Great relationship skills.
