Who we're looking for
We are seeking a National Enhanced Homecare Services Business Manager — an experienced nurse leader with an active NMBI registration and strong business acumen.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to quality, safety, and collaboration, bringing professional confidence and leadership to guide teams and drive the sustainable national growth of enhanced home care services.
Key Responsibilities
Service Development and Growth
Provide clinical input into the design and implementation of enhanced home care packages, ensuring safe setup and robust governance.
Support business planning and service expansion aligned with workforce capacity and quality standards.
Promote Dovida's enhanced home care model nationally as an innovative and safe approach to community-based support, engaging with relevant stakeholders.
Partnership and Relationship Management
Collaborate with hospital discharge teams, rehabilitation services, and the HSE to support seamless transitions from hospital to home.
Contribute to the development of clinical pathways for individuals with complex or long-term conditions living at home.
Represent Dovida at external meetings, forums, and partnership networks to advocate for excellence and innovation in home-based care.
Clinical Governance and Quality
Lead the implementation of Dovida's National Enhanced Home Care Framework, focusing on clinical delegation, supervision, and audit processes.
Provide clinical oversight and assurance in collaboration with local nursing and management teams.
Ensure all delegated care aligns with NMBI guidance, national policy, and organisational standards.
Lead reviews of complex care arrangements to enable safe, person-centred service planning.
Prepare quarterly reports on clinical quality, audit outcomes, and improvement initiatives.
People Management and Development
Support the induction and onboarding of newly recruited nurses across the national network.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), competency assessment tools, and clinical training materials.
Deliver clinical education sessions and contribute to Dovida's internal learning programmes.
Support local offices in maintaining staff competency through structured supervision and assessment.
Collaborate with the Dovida Academy to align national training content with practice needs.
Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement through mentoring, reflection, and feedback.
Provide temporary clinical cover when required to ensure service continuity.
Clinical Operations Management
Oversee incident management processes to ensure timely reporting, review, and shared learning.
Identify patterns and trends across services and lead national learning sessions to prevent recurrence.
Integrate lessons learned into practice policies, clinical procedures, and training materials.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Registered Nurse with current NMBI registration.
Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience in community, complex, or specialist nursing.
Proven experience in practice development, quality assurance, and clinical governance.
Collaborative and reflective approach to problem solving.
Commercially focused to develop new and existing programmes that meet Dovida's objectives.
Other Requirements
Full, clean driving licence and access to a car.
Willingness to travel nationally as required.
