The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for managing the Electrical Day Team, supporting shift management, and serving as the escalation point for onsite electrical issues. The role oversees all electrical engineering aspects, including staff development, processes, and procedures for the Data Centre. The Electrical Supervisor reports to the Technical Manager and collaborates closely with all onsite teams.
Responsibilities
* Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical environment systems, maintaining 100% uptime for critical power systems.
* Develop strong working relationships with CBRE staff and client representatives; act as the main contact for electrical requirements.
* Review and update site electrical procedures, including EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, drills, and APs, ensuring documentation aligns with client standards.
* Assess vendor documentation and service reports, ensuring follow-up on outstanding items.
* Perform QA on vendor work related to electrical systems and analyze equipment failures, providing detailed reports.
* Monitor critical spares inventory to ensure adequacy.
* Support escalation processes and conduct root cause analyses for technical issues.
* Ensure accurate emergency classifications and notifications for electrical systems.
* Drive energy efficiency initiatives and record energy-saving measures.
* Review subcontractor maintenance contracts for technical alignment and participate in vendor review meetings.
* Provide electrical training and develop staff competencies, ensuring continuous professional development.
* Maintain compliance with client standards and health and safety regulations.
* Assist in technical staff management, recruitment, and performance appraisals.
* Qualifications & Experience:
o Extensive knowledge of electrical systems in data centers, including feeders, transformers, switchgear, UPS, batteries, ATS/STS, PDU/PMM.
o Experience with automatic control equipment, PLCs, BMS, and integration with infrastructure.
o Knowledge of medium voltage distribution, switchgear, and safety protocols.
o Strong communication skills and ability to work outside regular hours.
o Proficiency in report compilation and operational monitoring.
* Person Specification
o Electrical trade qualification and ideally a degree.
o Understanding of data center environments and restrictions.
o Minimum two years' experience in critical or production environments.
