Job Title: Fundraising Coordinator
Location: Limerick - (hybrid /remote working options available)
Hours of work: 20 hours per week (part-time, flexible)
Annual leave: Annual leave: 35 days (140 hours) annual leave (20 days must be taken in the summer period).
Salary: €20,000 per annum.
Reporting to: Project Director.
Contract: 1-year fixed term (with potential to extend)

Purpose of the Role
Our work is supported by a wide variety of state and philanthropic funders, and we are now expanding our base by developing corporate partnerships that will sustain and grow our impact across Limerick and the wider region.
The Fundraising Coordinator will play a central role in delivering Engage in Education's fundraising strategy, maintaining strong relationships with existing funders, and engaging new supporters, including corporate donors.
This person will focus on writing successful grant applications, managing funder relationships, and developing new corporate income streams to ensure the long-term sustainability of Engage in Education's work.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of our Fundraising Strategy
1. Implement Engage in Education's fundraising strategy to achieve agreed income targets.
2. Work with senior management to identify new funding opportunities and update strategic priorities.
3. Report regularly on fundraising performance and projected income.
Grants and Trust Funding
4. Research, prepare, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and state agencies.
5. Manage reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
6. Maintain accurate records of all grant applications, awards, and outcomes.
Funder Relationship Management
7. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with funders and partners through excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication.
8. Provide engaging updates, reports, and impact stories that demonstrate value and accountability.
9. Ensure funders are appropriately acknowledged and recognised.
Corporate Engagement
10. Identify and engage potential corporate donors, sponsors, and CSR partners aligned with Engage in Education's mission.
11. Develop tailored proposals, presentations, and partnership packages.
12. Represent the organisation at local networking, business, and community events to raise its profile.
Monitoring, Reporting & Collaboration
13. Maintain accurate fundraising data using CRM tools or structured spreadsheets.
14. Collaborate with programme and finance to gather evidence and data for funding reports.
15. Track income performance and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
16. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support shared goals and promote a positive, team-based culture.
Person Specification
Essential
17. A Level 8 degree in a relevant subject such as business or marketing.Two years' experience in a similar funding role in a non-profit organization.
18. Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or partnership development.Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive funding proposals.Strong organisational and administration skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint: comfortable managing deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with funders, partners, and colleagues.A collaborative team player who contributes positively to a supportive working environment.Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
Desirable
19. Experience engaging with corporate donors or CSR programmes.
20. Knowledge of CRM or donor management systems.
21. Experience in education, youth, or community development sectors.
22. Familiarity with GDPR and charity compliance standards.
23. Understanding of Ireland's charity and funding landscape (state, philanthropic, and community sources).
