Director of Nursing - Co. Meath
TTM Healthcare Solutions is currently seeking a to recruit a dedicated Director of Nursing for a well established friendly and welcoming Nursing Home Group for one of their Residential Care Homes based in Co. Meath. This small nursing home provides full time care for male and female adults, focusing on respite, convalescence and long-term residential care.
This is a perfect career opportunity for anyone with management experience, seeking the next move. This is a full-time permanent contract within a nursing home. As a Director of Nursing you will be responsible for 4 Staff Nurses and a number of Healthcare Assistants, along with a General Manager overlooking all units.
The ideal candidate for this role would have previous managerial experience, at ADON or CNM level within the Irish nursing home system.
Responsibilities
Meet with potential residents in the home or care setting to understand the full needs of the resident and their families
Ensuring highest standards of care are provided at all times
Work alongside the multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring effective communication while demonstrating commitment to our client's core values
Overseeing the smooth operation of the nursing home
To be familiar with and to adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements for this DON job
Hold active NMBI Registration Pin
Proven managerial and decision making skills
High levels of organisational and communication skills
A compassionate approach to care for the elderly
Completed a Management Programme or commitment to undertake a relevant Management Qualification following appointment
