We are currently seeking an experienced Accommodation Assistant to join the team in The Leinster.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for details and high spec work, with over 2 years experience in accommodation.
Key Areas Servicing guest rooms and public areas to the highest cleanliness standards Replenishing guest supplies and amenities in line with hotel procedures Handling linen, refuse, and guest laundry following hygiene and safety protocols Reporting maintenance issues, lost property, and DND rooms accurately Supporting a positive guest experience through polite and attentive service Ensuring compliance with fire, health, and safety policies during every shift Job Purpose The Accommodation Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring guest comfort, satisfaction, and safety through daily cleaning and servicing of rooms and hotel areas.
This hands-on position contributes directly to the guest experience by maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and working efficiently as part of the housekeeping team.
Key Deliverables Room Public Area Servicing Clean and service guest rooms to the required brand standard Maintain cleanliness of hallways, public restrooms, stairways, and other common areas Replace guest amenities and restock stationery, towels, and linens as needed Clean carpets, hard floors, furnishings, and surfaces using appropriate techniques Remove rubbish and dirty linen using trolleys and designated disposal points Operational Accuracy Support Report any maintenance or damage issues promptly to the Accommodation Manager Communicate room status (e.g. DND, no service, vacant) clearly and consistently Ensure trolleys are cleaned and stocked at the end of each shift Collect and return food trays, keeping corridors clear and safe Guest Interaction Professionalism Greet guests in a polite, friendly manner and respond to requests when needed Assist with luggage handling or directions when requested Ensure guest privacy and security is maintained at all times Handle keys responsibly and return them at the end of each shift Health Safety Procedures Follow all hotel policies, including fire safety, manual handling, and hygiene standards Know emergency evacuation procedures and participate in drills and training Keep staff areas clean, organised, and hazard-free Record and hand over lost property items according to hotel policy Preferred Experience Previous experience in hotel preferred but not essential Positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail Strong communication skills Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented Flexibility to work early and late shifts, including weekends Benefits: Global discounted staff room rates across the group 50% off Food and 25% Beverage across the group Friends and Family discount Gym Membership Discounts* Continual training and development Career progression within the Group Gratuities * Meals on shift Bike to work scheme Taxsaver for travel Refer a friend scheme Wellness at work events and access to wellness platform Employment Assistance Programme Group discounts for cinema tickets, shopping deals etc Team appreciation days Regular funfilled activities and gatherings for all teams across the group *Applicable to certain positions Dean Group owns and operates a number of hotel across Ireland, in certain instances we may feel your skills and experience may suit another role we have available.
