Swim Teacher (also Lifeguard/Admin)
Responsibilities
Deliver swimming lessons to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience.
Communicate with children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme.
Assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
Assist with administration tasks in the office.
Operate as Lifeguard between lessons.
Qualifications
NPLQ qualification or equivalent (training can be provided).
Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
Ability to deal with children and their parents.
Level 2 swimming teaching qualification (training can be provided).
DBS check.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues.
Flexibility and ability to understand instructions from managers.
Passion and energy for the leisure industry.
Hours and Salary
Hours: Up to 34 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (rota basis).
Salary: Swim Teacher up to £***** per hour; Lifeguard/Admin up to £***** per hour.
