Retail Department Manager – Fashion (Dublin)
Our client, a renowned retail chain – celebrated for their rich heritage, exceptional customer service, and diverse offerings across fashion, home, and food is seeking to recruit Colleague Managers/Department Manager across all their Dublin Stores in Dublin City Centre, Liffey Valley, Blanchardstown and Dundrum
This is a new management role being introduced to the business therefore an exciting opportunity suited to a people leader who is passionate about developing people, driving sales and performance and delivering outstanding customer service experiences.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial retail management experience in high-volume fashion, home or grocery retail.
Key Responsibilities as Colleague Manager / Department Manager
1. Coach and support your team to reach their full potential, recognising achievements, and proactively managing performance
2. Drive sales growth and profitability within the store
3. Responsible for both operational and people leadership activity within the store
4. Recruitment, onboarding, pay accuracy, absence management, career progression
5. Support the Store Manager in enhancing both operational and commercial performance
6. Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment
7. Raise performance through coaching and development
Skills and Requirements for this job include
8. Proven experience managing high-volume retail operations in Fashion or Home retailing
9. Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
10. People leadership, recruitment and development experience
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. Commercial awareness and the ability to interpret sales data and drive performance
13. Ability to work effectively across departments such as Fashion, Home, and Food
14. Strong organisational and time management skills
