Our client is a long-established, friendly, and respected IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in the South East of Ireland. They look after everything from servers and PCs to cloud-based applications for a wide range of local businesses. They now seeking a confident, relationship-focusedClient Account Manager to support and lead their client relationship and accountmanagement function. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role - ideal for someone whois commercially aware, values long-term client relationships, and is comfortable working in a tech-driven environment.
The Opportunity
This role is about building trust with business clients, helping them get value from the company’sservices, and ensuring the day-to-day commercial side of the relationship runs smoothly. Thesuccessful candidate will start by supporting senior staff and gradually take full ownership of aportfolio of client accounts.
Initial focus:
* Reconnect with less active or lapsed clients
* Follow up on inbound leads from the website, referrals, and events
* Assist with quote preparation, licensing renewals (e.g. Microsoft 365), and general proposal support
* Develop relationships with existing clients
Longer-term goals:
* Take full responsibility for a defined client portfolio
* Act as the main point of contact for renewals, project coordination, and commercial discussions
* Serve as the client’s internal advocate, escalating issues and ensuring service standards
* Support business development via cross-selling and handling warm inbound leads
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
* Build long-term, positive relationships with business clients across different industries
* Maintain high-level understanding of each client’s environment and recurring needs
* Track and manage renewals to avoid service lapses
* Identify and escalate any service delivery concerns
Communication & Coordination
* Act as a liaison between clients and the engineering team, adding clarity and value
* Book in project work, gather and confirm requirements, and manage client expectations
* Communicate clearly - especially when managing issues or delays
Sales Support, Business Development and Growth
* Follow up on inbound leads and referrals
* Assist with proposal writing and presenting service options
* Identify and suggest additional services (e.g. backup, VoIP, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity) based on client needs
Admin & CRM Discipline
* Log all client-related activity in the CRM (Autotask)
* Maintain accurate records of quotes, renewals, and follow-ups
* Ensure all relevant information is visible to the wider team
Skills & Experience Required
* Prior experience in account management, customer success, or B2B client-facing roles
* Familiarity with IT service environments is preferable but not essential (cloud, VoIP, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Comfortable engaging in commercial conversations with business clients
* Good organisational discipline and follow-up habits
* Tech-aware and eager to learn - no deep technical knowledge required
