Description
The role of Senior Psychologist involves working with a diverse population, including individuals with mental health difficulties, developmental disorders, and cognitive decline. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, formulating individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based psychological interventions.
As a Senior Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care and management plans. This will involve assessing and intervening with individuals who have been referred to the psychology service in relation to various presentations, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality and behavior disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, self-harm and suicidal behavior, eating disorders, psychosis and schizophrenia, addiction, and offense-specific needs.
Interventions may include group and one-to-one therapy sessions, as well as regular contact with community agencies involved in support and resettlement of people leaving custody. The Senior Psychologist will also work with families and carers of those in custody, where clinically appropriate, providing time-limited community interventions to support clients' transition from custody to community.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must:
* Be eligible for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
* Hold a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognized by PSI.
* Have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a Psychologist.

Others
Experience in addressing emotional, mental health, and offense-related difficulties with a forensic population and a group setting is desirable but not essential. Further therapeutic or research qualifications are also beneficial.
