STEM Passport Education and Outreach Officer (Maternity Cover) Overview We are seeking for a motivated and dynamic Education and Outreach Officer to join the STEM Passport for Inclusion team. The person will have responsibility for students who are registered on the STEM Passport for Inclusion programme registered on at MTU. The person appointed will have a proven record of engagement, teaching, research and innovation. The appointee will be expected to engage in education, research and engagement in the domain of the STEM Passport in EDI and enabling girls and women to access STEM Careers. Main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to: Develop and deliver the STEM Passport for Inclusion programme of education to students in secondary schools. Develop CPD and micro-credential programmes in mentoring for equality. Develop networking opportunities across the sector with a view to influencing national policy and practices in STEM and equality. Build a strong research profile that supports the universitys research strategy including affiliating with research institutes where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. Sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance, and generate publications of an international standard pertaining to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Design, develop and implement workshops, training and knowledge exchange on key areas around gender balance and equality. Provide advice, guidance and support on EDI issues. Develop a Gender Equality Plan that assesses research community needs and which promotes research community cohesions. Candidates must demonstrate the following: Minimum 3 years experience Honours degree in a relevant discipline Excellent project management skills Excellent analytical and report writing skills Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills Ability to work effectively in national multi-partner collaborative projects Full driving licence The following is desirable Additional qualifications with relevance to the role (e.g. MSc / Ph D) Experience of and a demonstrated understanding of the Irish education system Commitment to teaching, programme development and academic innovation Experience of, and commitment to, working in an interdisciplinary setting Good administrative, organisational, teamwork and communication skills Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion Duration: This is a specific purpose contract covering maternity leave of the current postholder. Salary: This post is specific purpose full-time with a salary of €46,305 €50,168 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
