The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a faith-based environment and engaging with staff, clergy, and visitors. Overall Purpose To ensure the effective upkeep, cleanliness, and presentation of diocesan facilities, including meeting rooms and shared spaces, while managing essential supplies, access arrangements, and basic operational needs. Duties Cleaning supplies: Monitoring, ordering, and replenishing cleaning materials and consumables. Meeting room presentation: Ensuring meeting rooms are clean, tidy, set up appropriately, and ready for use. Access management: Organising access to buildings for staff, contractors, and visitors as required. Heating and utilities: Monitoring heating oil levels and arranging timely orders; reporting any issues with heating or basic facilities. General supplies: Managing stock levels of essential office and facility supplies. Routine upkeep: Carrying out light cleaning, tidying, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Liaison: Coordinating with external contractors or service providers when maintenance or repairs are required. Flexibility: Supporting additional reasonable tasks related to the upkeep and smooth running of diocesan facilities. Person Specification Experience in cleaning, facilities support, or a similar role. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic understanding of building access, utilities, or maintenance is desirable.
