Job Summary: The Lean/Transformation Manager will lead the development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives across modular unit production and fabrication facilities.
This role is responsible for embedding lean principles, driving operational excellence, and ensuring sustainable transformation in processes, systems, and culture.
The Lean/Transformation Manager will have a proven track record of implementing and leading cross functional improvements in a manufacturing environment.
The Lean/Transformation Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the production facility, ensuring that modular unit and fabrication operations are efficient, scalable, and competitive.
Success in this role will directly contribute to improved productivity, reduced costs, enhanced quality, and stronger employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Lean Strategy Deployment Develop and implement a site-wide lean transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives.
Champion lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management).
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build lean capability across all levels of staff.
Process Improvement Analyse production processes for modular units and fabrication lines to identify waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
Lead cross-functional improvement projects to optimise throughput, reduce lead times, and improve quality.
Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor progress and sustain improvements.
Change Management Act as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and alignment with transformation initiatives.
Support managers and supervisors in embedding new processes and behaviours.
Operational Excellence Drive improvements in material flow, inventory management, and production scheduling.
Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and quality teams to ensure end-to-end process efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during transformation activities.
People Development Mentor and coach employees to develop problem-solving skills and lean thinking.
Build internal capability to sustain lean practices without external dependency.
Recognise and celebrate improvement successes to reinforce engagement.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
Proven experience in lean transformation within manufacturing, ideally modular construction or fabrication.
Strong knowledge of lean tools and methodologies (Six Sigma certification desirable).
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional improvement projects.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in change management and cultural transformation.
