The Role: Payments Specialist
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payments Specialist to join our Source to Settle (STS) Payments Team. Reporting to the STS Payments Lead, you will be responsible for managing and processing payment activities across the EMEA region. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment within a high-performing global team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute weekly multi-currency SAP batch payments.
* Process manual payments, including tax, VAT, product, travel advances, and interview expenses.
* Manage supplier and employee expense payments in Emerging Markets (non-ERP environments).
* Process intercompany payments.
* Collaborate with Cash Management and STS Accounting to resolve bank reconciliation items.
* Handle queries via the internal ticketing system (SPARC) and shared mailbox.
* Support month-end close processes alongside the broader STS team.
* Maintain payment approval schedules, bank matrices, and templates for BOA, HSBC, and Citi platforms.
* Keep payment procedures and documentation up to date.
* Respond to internal and external audit requests as needed.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ERP testing related to payments.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* A team player with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
* Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Business degree is desirable.
* 3–5 years of STS or payments experience in a multinational setting.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with SAP and Oracle systems is an advantage.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
