Internal Audit Manager / Senior Internal Auditor
A leading international commercial (non financial services) group is looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager / Senior Internal Auditor to join its Dublin-based team. About the role
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will deliver independent assurance, advisory, and some risk management services across the group. You will help strengthen governance, internal controls, and operational efficiency, while contributing to the team's ongoing development.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and deliver end-to-end assurance reviews of operational and financial controls
* Assess and challenge the robustness of the control environment
* Recommend practical, value-adding solutions to address identified risks
* Draft clear, insightful reports for senior management discussion
* Monitor the effectiveness of remediation actions
* Support the development and delivery of the risk management framework
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects and improvement initiatives
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
* Share business knowledge to facilitate cross-learning across the organisation
The role will involve occasional planned travel to sites across the UK & Ireland, and mainland Europe.
Essential
* Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA), or equivalent (qualified by experience)
* Internal/external audit and/or internal controls experience
* Strong understanding of risk, governance, and internal control best practice
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* Ability to work proactively, independently, and manage competing priorities
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Fluent English (verbal and written)
* Full driving licence
* Full right to work in Ireland, without sponsorship
Desirable
* Experience in /with commerce and industry businesses
* Data analytics skills (e.g., Power BI)
* IT assurance experience
* ESG/CSRD advisory or assurance experience
* Additional European languages, eg. French, German, Spanish, etc.
