O'Dowd Solicitors are seeking to recruit a part time Accountant to work in either their Glanmire or Fermoy office. It will be open to the successful candidate to choose which location is most suitable for him/her.
The roles involves;
For the office;
Processing all incoming lodgements and outgoing payments
Processing Payroll (using brightpay cloud), keeping track of staff leave and SSP
Maintaining client account on Practice Evolve and ensuring the Solicitors Accounts Regulations are complied with
Ensuring staff comply with AML obligations
Filing VAT3 returns
Preparing Tax returns for the Partnership and Partners for review by external accountants.
General bookkeeping
For clients;
Completing IT38s
Assisting with the necessary Income tax filings for probate files
Preparing Estate Accounts
Previous experience working with solicitor's accounts will be a significant advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
