Capital Works Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee minor and major capital works within the region, tendering projects, managing contractors, managing design teams and communicating with various stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging specifications, drawings and contract documents for Capital Projects, developing proposals with design teams and contractors, tender and control stages of projects, liaison with design teams, site supervisory staff and hospital personnel, supervising staff and contractors in implementing agreed programmes, working with service management and nurse planners to establish equipping/commissioning teams, managing project timescales and budgets, anticipating difficulties and resolving issues, controlling expenditure on assigned projects, presenting information to senior management and Project Board, ensuring maintenance arrangements are put in place for new buildings, acting as senior administrative officer for project management, defining requirements for design services, buildings and equipment, advising on the selection of Design Teams, professional services and Contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Arranging specifications, drawings and contract documents for Capital Projects.
* Developing proposals with design teams and contractors.

Candidates must have:
* A Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Architecture, Engineering or Surveying.

* A high level of knowledge and experience of building construction and building services.
