We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Support Manager to oversee and manage catering operations for our contracts on the Western seaboard. This role involves liaising with clients, ensuring high-quality food service delivery, managing staff, controlling budgets, and driving customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of catering operations, strong leadership abilities, and excellent client management skills.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality company standards are implemented and adhered to across the region.
* Ensuring the highest food standards and innovation across the region in line with standard operating procedures.
* Proactively identifying issues and working with operations and other functions to improve the food offering and the financial and operational performance.
* Supporting and developing chef managers within the area of responsibility to ensure proactive management of the sites.
* Supporting the business with reactive operational issues in a timely manner.
* Responding to site-specific information and working with on-site teams to address issues promptly.
* Engaging in a collaborative approach with the marketing function and chefs to provide effective and innovative solutions aligned with The Q Cafe's marketing calendar.
* Working with Senior Operations Teams to drive innovation for specific projects.
* Building and maintaining excellent client relationships by understanding and proactively responding to their evolving needs.
* Coaching and mentoring the management team across the region.
* Promoting teamwork to create a positive customer, service user, and resident experience.
* Having strong commercial awareness with budget experience and the ability to manage the bottom line.
* Building partnerships with key stakeholders to make better decisions, deliver quality services, and run operations efficiently.
Qualifications
* 3rd Level Qualification in Catering Management or equivalent.
* Experience working in Healthcare Catering.
* Strong Leadership skills.
* Ability to instruct and motivate teams.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Results-oriented with a proven ability to drive business success.
* Strong financial acumen.
* Knowledge of Special Diets, IDSSI, and allergen awareness.
* Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Certificates.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Previous experience in operations, human resources, and health and safety management.
