R&D Project Leader - Catheter Development

The Research & Development Project Manager will be part of a dynamic team in Galway, dedicated to improving the treatment of neurovascular diseases through innovative device solutions.

Some key responsibilities include:
\

* Providing technical leadership and ownership of critical tasks in new product development catheter projects.
\
* Liaising with key opinion leaders to gather user needs and develop deep understanding of disease states.
\
* Translate user requirements into technical specifications.
\
* Leading teams in the development of test models for prototype performance evaluations, building and testing prototypes, and managing project risks.
\
* Identifying and managing key technical risks throughout the product lifecycle.
\
* Developing detailed project plans, goals, and budget; identifying critical project tasks, defining project strategy, and setting team priorities.
\
* Managing direct teams and cross-functional teams to deliver on performance, time, and cost targets.
\
* Reporting progress across the organisation and leveraging external resources to achieve project goals.
\
* Managing projects according to quality system standards and taking ownership of design history files and leading design reviews.
\
* Requirements: A minimum of 8 years' experience in medical device industry with technical project leadership and prior catheter product development experience as Senior R&D Engineer is required. Strong technical leadership capability and strong catheter design, development, and technical ability are essential.
\
* Strong work ethic and creative problem-solving skills are also necessary.
