Recruitment Specialist at Quorum Search Partners
Purpose of Role:
The primary focus of the Area Sales Manager is to manage and increase the sales of the business in their respective area through our network of distributors, presenting a consistent and professional image of the company to existing and new customers.
Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential customers in the area.
* Achieve sales targets by creating business development plans focusing on expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth.
* Work with, lead and inspire teams (self employed, distribution, transport, NPD, bakery) to ensure their success and continuously grow sales.
* Resolve any customer issues in a quick and efficient manner, driving continuous improvement.
* Report on KPIs, sales data, market trends and customer preferences. Use this data to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions and necessary actions.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective promotional campaigns.
* Retain and communicate extensive knowledge of competitors and their activities in your territory.
Business Processes:
* Develop strong relationships with all other Departments such as Production, Quality, NPD, Administration and Marketing to facilitate strategies to develop and grow.
* New Product Development and Existing product development.
* Strategic Planning and success measures i.e. sales, market share, analysis and in store profile.
KPI Achievement:
* Identify areas for continual cost improvement.
* Competency Requirements.
* Confidentiality: A high level of discretion.
* Exercise sound judgement, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism in all transactions and maintain the utmost confidentiality.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
* 3 years + experience in a similar sales-based role within the food industry.
* Demonstrate success in driving business development.
* Conflict resolution acumen.
* Strong strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
* Strong organisational, planning, time management, project management, negotiation and anticipatory skills.
* Strong numerical ability.
* Proven ability to lead and influence at all levels.
* Full clean driving licence.
