Many of our clients have been with us for generations and we have helped those families build and retain wealth, transition assets, and optimise opportunities.Our Tax Director will be a trusted advisor and a key leader to our advisory teams and clients in achieving their ambitions.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial and Relationship ManagementAct as the primary tax liaison for local offices, ensuring strong communication, collaboration, and consistency in service delivery.Oversee and manage the delivery of office retainer agreements, ensuring commitments are met efficiently and effectively.Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance the commercial performance of the tax advisory offering within the agri sector.Maintain a detailed understanding of the economic and commercial drivers impacting clients and the firm's regional offices.Leadership and Resource ManagementLead and motivate a high-performing advisory team, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities.Support workflow management across multiple offices to optimise efficiency, margin, and delivery quality.Drive accountability, professional development, and high standards across all levels of the team.Technical Development and Knowledge GrowthChampion the continuous development of the team's technical expertise in agri taxation, succession, and restructuring tax matters.Identify knowledge gaps and coordinate targeted training, workshops, and peer-learning initiatives.Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through internal briefings, external publications, and collaboration with the Irish Tax Institute, and other accounting bodies and wider agri sector.Quality and Risk OversightEnsure all advisory work meets firmwide quality standards and aligns with the firm's risk management framework.Oversee the implementation of review and sign-off processes across the agri advisory portfolio.Support the tax partners in maintaining robust governance and control across all engagements.Experience & Technical SkillsMinimum 5+ years' post-qualification experience in a tax advisory environment, ideally with significant exposure to agricultural, succession, or capital tax matters.Proven ability to manage client relationships and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices.Strong commercial acumen and demonstrable success in improving efficiency and profitability in an advisory environment.Excellent understanding of Irish tax legislation relevant to agri & business structures, and capital tax and restructuring transactions.QualificationsCTA qualification (AITI Chartered Tax Adviser) essential.ACA/ACCA or legal qualification an advantage.Personal AttributesStrategic thinker with strong commercial and operational insight.Excellent relationship management and communication skills.Confident leader, capable of influencing and motivating colleagues at all levels.Committed to professional excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.RewardsOur Tax Director will receive;Market-leading compensation and benefits package.Substantial employer pension contribution.Generous annual leave allowance.Birthday leave.Supportive family orientated workplace policies.Blended WFH.Opportunities for internal growth and development.Access to a bike to work scheme.Access to an employee assistance programme.Well-being benefits, including the EAP programme.Regular wellness, social, and charity activities throughout the year.Voucher at Christmas.Next StepsApply in confidence with full CV quoting reference: Tax Director: Tel
