Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Programme Manager
from a
banking or financial services background
to lead a large-scale
Open Banking implementation
. This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for delivering a complex technology programme involving
third-party vendors

API-based integration's

core banking systems
.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering
major IT transformation and integration programmes
within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of an Open Banking programme
* Own overall
programme governance
, including reporting, risk management, and controls
* Manage and coordinate multiple workstreams and interdependencies
* Act as the primary interface with
senior stakeholders
, both business and technology
* Oversee
vendor and third-party provider management
, including contractual delivery and performance
* Ensure successful
integration of third-party systems
with the bank's internal platforms
* Oversee the implementation of
API frameworks and gateway solutions
enabling secure system access
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance standards
* Manage programme budgets, timelines, and resourcing
* Provide clear communication and status updates to executive-level stakeholders
Required Experience & Skills
* 10-15+ years
of programme management experience
* Strong background in
banking and financial services
* Demonstrable experience delivering
large-scale IT integration programmes
* Hands-on experience with
Open Banking
, APIs, or complex system integrations
* Strong knowledge of
third-party/vendor-led implementations
* Proven experience operating within
regulated environments
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
Desirable
* Experience with PSD2 / Open Banking frameworks
* Experience working with API gateways and integration middleware
* Formal programme management qualifications (e.g. MSP, PgMP, SAFe, Prince2)
