Team Leader / Person In Charge (PIC) - Naas
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare
Hours: 39 hours per week - Permanent Contract
Salary: From €50,669 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader / Person In Charge (PIC) to join a residential service supporting adults with autism in Naas. This role offers the opportunity to lead a committed team, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, and support individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, implement care plans, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and HIQA standards. Full induction and ongoing professional development will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team of Social Care Workers and Support Staff
2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support plans
3. Oversee and develop individual Person-Centred Plans (PCPs)
4. Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion for those supported
5. Maintain compliance with HIQA regulations and sectoral standards
6. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
7. Manage staff rotas and maintain effective communication across the service
Essential Requirements
8. Degree in Social Care/Studies or a related Level 8 qualification ( Social Work, Psychology)
9. Minimum three years' management experience within the Social Care sector
10. Strong understanding of HIQA standards, legislation, and regulatory compliance
11. Experience in implementing and developing care/support plans
12. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
13. Proven ability to work independently and manage a developing service
14. Full, clean driver's licence
