Production Manager We are hiring a Production Manager on behalf of one of our clients in the food manufacturing industry, based in Naas, Co.
Kildare.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production leader to take ownership of operations and drive high performance in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, youll be responsible for leading and coordinating all production and maintenance activities, ensuring production schedules are met, resources are optimised and output aligns with strict food safety and quality standards.
You will lead a team of 3, ensuring operational excellence, team development and continuous improvement initiatives are delivered successfully.
Whats in it for you? Salary: €55,000 per annum Hours: Fixed evening shift days over 7 Leave: 20 days annual leave Naas, Evening Shift - days over 7 Key Responsibilities: Lead all day-to-day production operations to deliver on weekly plans and customer demand Manage, motivate and develop your team through clear communication, training and performance management Monitor KPIs and drive improvement initiatives to optimise production output and reduce downtime Proactively identify production risks and implement contingency plans Construct effective work rosters and ensure adequate staff cover for planned/unplanned absences Ensure full compliance with BRC and customer food safety standards, including audit readiness Liaise with supply chain, maintenance, hygiene and technical departments to resolve cross-functional issues Oversee recruitment, onboarding and skills development within the production team Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement Support and collaborate on hygiene standards, environmental compliance and waste management Represent production during external audits and customer visits Manage third-party service providers and equipment suppliers as needed Qualifications & Experience: 3+ years experience in a production management role, ideally within a food manufacturing environment Proven track record of team leadership, people management and operational delivery Bachelors degree in food science, Food Technology, Engineering or a related discipline preferred Excellent knowledge of food safety standards (BRC or equivalent) Strong communication, planning and organisational skills Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, maintenance and hygiene departments Experience in continuous improvement, lean initiatives and root cause analysis Solid computer literacy including MS Office and familiarity with manufacturing software Analytical mindset with good reasoning and decision-making skills Flexible and hands-on approach with the ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Nicole Sinnott or email your cv to Nicole to If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided Please submit your updated CV in Word Format If you are living in Ireland and hold a valid work permit, we would love to hear from you, if however, you do not hold a valid work permit unfortunately we will not be in a position to assist you with your job search.
