Role Overview
Our organisation is dedicated to delivering safe, affordable, and well-managed homes. We are seeking a Housing Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing tenancies and supporting residents to maintain successful and sustainable living arrangements.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing tenancies from start to end, including sign-ups, renewals, and terminations.
* Monitoring rent accounts and engaging with tenants to resolve arrears.
* Investigating complaints and implementing appropriate interventions for anti-social behaviour.
* Conducting regular estate and property inspections to ensure standards are maintained and repairs are identified.
* Building strong relationships with tenants and promoting community initiatives.
* Collaborating with social services, support agencies, and internal departments to provide holistic support to residents.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should have proven experience in a housing management or tenancy support role and possess strong understanding of housing legislation, tenancy law, and safeguarding practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload with strong organisational skills. Proficiency in using housing management systems and Microsoft Office is also required. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle may be necessary depending on fieldwork requirements.
