In addition to keeping the home/premises safe and secure, the role of a Pet Care Assistant is to manage the usual care routine of an animal while the pet owner is away from home for a night or more. This service consists of regular daily visits to specified locations within your area as agreed in advance with the client and follows the protocols set out by Pet Sitters Ireland. The ideal candidate is an experienced pet lover with flexible hours, reliability, trustworthiness, and their own transport, email/internet access, and a smartphone. This is a self‑employed opportunity. Successful candidates should be prepared to handle their own tax and PRSI returns to the Revenue Commissioners. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to participate in vetting procedures when required.
