Role Description:

The
IT Support
professional provides technical assistance and troubleshooting to ensure the seamless operation of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role serves as the first point of contact for technical issues, assisting employees with hardware, software, and network-related problems, and ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently and reliably. The IT Support specialist contributes to maintaining a secure, stable, and user-friendly technology environment, supporting productivity and business continuity across the organization.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, setting up and configuring devices, and providing support for operating systems, applications, and peripheral equipment. The IT Support professional will manage user accounts, maintain system access controls, and assist with network connectivity issues. They will also document support requests, identify recurring problems, and escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel or specialized teams. In addition, the role involves supporting IT projects, performing routine maintenance, and helping to implement upgrades, security patches, and IT policies.

The ideal candidate is analytical, patient, and customer-focused, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. They should be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple support requests while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* 2–5 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support roles.
* Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and standard office software.
* Experience with network troubleshooting, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
* Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems.
* Basic knowledge of IT security principles, backup procedures, and system maintenance.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist users effectively.
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
* Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proactive, flexible, and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
