Interim Project Accountant – Medical Device Manufacturer (6-month contract)
Location:
Cork (with monthly travel to Holland)
We are partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer to recruit a Project Accountant for a 6-month interim role. This position is based in Cork with regular travel to Holland (at least once per month).
The Role:
This is a key finance role, supporting the
implementation of SAP
as the company's new accounting system while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and smooth integration across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the
implementation of SAP
, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
* Manage project budgets, track costs, and monitor variances.
* Support month-end close activities including reconciliations, journals, and financial reporting.
* Develop and document new accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
* Deliver training and provide support to the finance team on SAP.
* Perform general accounting duties such as P&L reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
About You:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience with SAP implementation is essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Solution-focused, with the ability to work across functions and geographies.
