Specifically, the responsibilities of the post will include: o Strategic Management Risk - Management of cyber risks, under the Payments Governance Group (PGG) ensuring implementation of systems, mitigating controls, and associated communications for internal and external stakeholders Taxation - Management of expenditure related taxes including Professional Services Withholding tax (PSWT), intrastate, VAT, Revenue Enhanced Reporting Requirements (ERR) and Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) and other international requirements Training - Leading training and development on systems for finance staff and other staff to ensure compliance on finance policies Procurement - implementation of policies including oversight of ESG commitments and compliance Continuous Improvement Projects - Lead financial operational projects for business process improvement, including system implementations to drive automation and innovation using AI and BI initiatives and Quality Enhancement Office (QEO) plans o Day-to-Day Management of Group Accounts Payable (AP) Function Managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable processes including team management Management and reporting on all aspects of the AP month end and year end processes Maintaining and developing policies & procedures documentation to ensure robust financial management and controls Business insights workflow management - Reporting and analytics Support controls assurance audits and reviews General: Management of staff performance and development Undergoing programmes of training and development as may be required from time to time Representing the best interests of the Department/RCSI at all times Proactive Leadership and management of a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
Person Specification: The successful candidate should be motivated, flexible, and a self-starter.
They will have successfully completed a third level qualification and hold qualifications in project management and lean training/Artificial Intelligence (AI) or equivalent.
Relevant industry experience working in an Operations Manager or Accounts Payable Manager role within a high-volume, multi-department, international organisation is essential.
In addition, the successful candidate will ideally possess and be able to demonstrate: Knowledge of Irish, EU and international taxes Ability to work to, implement and deliver to strict reporting deadlines Strong management and leadership capabilities with excellent influencing, interpersonal and communication skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to focus and deliver results Flexibility to work in a changing environment Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, A proven track record of career achievement including experience of delivering change management projects and managing large teams IT - Training in Artificial Intelligence and other such tools - Excellent Microsoft office skills, in particular Microsoft Forms, Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Knowledge of Agresso financial software would be an advantage Strong commitment to own professional and personal development We are all too aware that imposter syndrome and the confidence gap can sometimes stop fantastic candidates putting themselves forward, so please do submit an application - we'd love to hear from you.
