Assistant Director of NursingBrampton care is the first in the west of Ireland to open a solely dedicated Rehabilitation / Acquired Brain Injury unit. We are CARF accredited looking for a ADON to join us with a keen interest in Complex Care. Our residents need include peg, tracheostomy, ventilation and our nurses have exceptional training in this area.We are located just off the motorway in Oranmore and this makes us accessible to travel from a variety of locations.Due to a recent promotion, we are looking for an ADON to join our team. The successful candidate will have the support from the person in change. The clinical team consists of a PIC, 2 x ADON's and CNMS. The ADONS will participate in on call which is shared across the clinical team.Brampton care operates across three floors with one floor dedicated to neurorehabilitation and the remaining elderly care. As we are a 94 bedded facility with the view to grow to 140 beds this is an excellent opportunity for an ADON who is looking to move and grow into a larger facility.This is a full time permeant post working 40 hours per week.Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & OversightSupport the Director of Nursing in overseeing day-to-day clinical operations.Ensure consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.Monitor compliance with HIQA standards and implement best practice guidelines.Assist in the development and review of clinical policies and care protocols.Staff Management & DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and support nursing and healthcare staff.Contribute to workforce planning, scheduling, and ensuring appropriate skill mix.Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.Help identify training needs and support professional development initiatives.Governance & Quality AssuranceParticipate in quality improvement activities and clinical audits.Assist with risk management, incident reporting, and safeguarding procedures.Contribute to inspection readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.Resident-Centred CarePromote dignity, autonomy, and holistic care for all residents.Support the creation and ongoing review of person-centred care plans.Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners.Operational & Strategic SupportContribute to strategic planning and service enhancement initiatives.Ensure the smooth running of daily operations in collaboration with the senior team.RequirementsActive registration with the NMBI as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or equivalent (RNID/RPN).Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior nursing position within the older person care sector.Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and the Health Act 2007.Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Desirable:Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management, Gerontology, or a related field.
