Job Description:The 4* Galmont Hotel (part of the MHL Hotel Collection) has a vacancy currently for a Chef de Partie*About The Position:*The main purpose of this role will be the delivery of high-quality service across several Food and Beverage outlets.Our Food Outlets include Coopers Bar which serves food all day along with Afternoon Tea. Marinas Restaurant which is open for Breakfast daily it also opens to accommodate groups in the evenings and then we have our Conference and Banqueting Space. In this area we serve working lunches, working breakfasts and of course large banquets of up to 600 people and we also take great care of our weddings.The position would suit an experienced Chef De Partie with relevant Restaurant or Hotel experience*Ideal Candidate Will Possess:*Relevant experience in excellent food service in a HotelDemonstrate a true passion for food, customer service and an ability to work as part of a large teamPrepare mis-en-place as required.Prepare and present food to Company standards as instructed by your Manager.Ensure correct portion control as instructed by your Manager.Operate with a cost effective approach that will not damage the quality of the product provided.Purchase costs to be monitored and kept in line with budget.Maintain a close working relationship with the rest of the Kitchen Team and those in other areas as required in order to provide a smooth and efficient service.Assist with menu designs that are popular, stylish and sell well, as well as group menus that win us business and meet and exceed the wishes of clients.Keeping equipment costs as low as possible, managing the overall maintenance and service program for your section and keeping all equipment properly cleaned and maintained.Carrying out regular stock takes to ensure costs are controlled and that all stocks are accounted for.*About The MHL Hotel Collection:*MHL group is a renowned portfolio of well known, high profile Hotels throughout Ireland.
