Accounts Assistant – 9 to 12 month contract
My client is in the oil and energy business, from port to pump, supplying farms, homes, businesses, resellers, and motorists via their service stations and local depots across Ireland.
I am recruiting a Finance Assistant to join the finance team looking after the service station side of the business.
Based out of the head office in East Wall, you will be required to work 3 days in the office (Monday & Friday are mandatory) and 2 days from home.
Package: Salary up to €45k negotiable but must reflect experience, with a retention bonus of 5% after completing the contract, 22 days holidays pro rata.
For this role I need some experience in an accounts even if that is only up to one year.
1. Responsible for key accounting processes and the reconciliation of associated control accounts.
2. Maintain the creditors (accounts payable) ledger, including processing supplier invoices and allocating payments.
3. Perform regular reconciliation of creditor balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Carry out the daily data import process, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
5. Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal staff to resolve queries efficiently.
6. Assist with the month-end close process, including balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations.
7. Support the year-end audit process by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
