About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join a global procurement function supporting strategic sourcing and supplier management across key industrial categories. This role is focused on driving cost optimisation, supplier performance, and long-term category strategy across a global supply base.You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver measurable savings, strengthen supply chain resilience, and ensure best-in-class sourcing practices.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse direct material spend to identify cost optimisation opportunities and improve total cost of ownership (TCO)Develop and manage RFQs, supplier benchmarking, and sourcing eventsIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, and reliabilityLead commercial negotiations and secure favourable pricing and contract termsDevelop and implement category sourcing strategies, including long-term supplier and risk mitigation plansManage supplier relationships and support supplier performance improvementsDeliver against category savings targets across regional and global scopeMaintain sourcing databases, contracts, and supplier documentationCollaborate with global procurement and operations teams on strategic initiativesLead additional sourcing and procurement projects as business needs ariseRequirementsProven experience in Category Management or Strategic SourcingStrong negotiation and contract management experienceExperience managing RFQs and supplier selection processesAbility to analyse spend data and identify cost-saving opportunitiesStrategic thinker with experience building category strategiesStrong understanding of supplier relationship managementExperience working with procurement/sourcing systems and data toolsAbility to work in a global, cross-functional environmentDesirable ExperienceExposure to industrial/mechanical components such as compressors, pumps, coils, fans, or heat exchangersUnderstanding of global supply markets and economic trends affecting sourcing decisionsExperience in supply chain risk managementWhat’s on OfferOpportunity to work in a global procurement environmentStrategic role with real impact on cost savings and supply chain performanceInternational scope across multiple regionsCareer development within a growing procurement function
