Orange Recruitment looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients exceptional team on a key project based in Midleton, County Cork. Responsibilities:
* Taking full commercial responsibility for major project(s) from pre-construction through to final account
* Managing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow across multiple phases
* Contract negotiation, administration, and procurement strategy implementation
* Leading subcontractor engagement, valuation, and performance tracking
* Preparing and presenting cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients
* Supporting risk management and value engineering exercises
* Mentoring junior QS staff and contributing to the development of best practices
* Liaising closely with project management, design, and on-site teams to ensure project delivery aligns with commercial targets
Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or similar
* Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a QS role, preferably with main contractor exposure
* Proven experience managing high-value commercial or residential projects
* In-depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, RIAI/GCC contracts, and procurement frameworks
* A solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and leadership skills
* Proficiency in cost reporting tools and construction software (e.g. Buildsoft, Cubit, etc.)
