The school seeks a candidate who is prepared to lead the school's math department and teach math at both the Middle and Upper School levels.
This role involves teaching a reduced course load and overseeing the faculty and curriculum of the math department.
Specific course assignments will depend on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the department, but could range from pre-algebra to calculus.

The school is looking for a candidate who is willing to think big, be visionary, and to be an inspiring leader in math program to ensure the program holds students to high standards and demands true mastery of content and also allows students to use current and future technology tools to best enhance and deepen their learning.
The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree in mathematics or an adjacent field, five or more years of classroom teaching at the secondary level, and leadership experience in an independent school setting.
The successful candidate will be able to develop a healthy rapport with Middle and Upper School students and their parents; effectively lead, inspire, and manage the faculty of the math department; and embrace Waterford School's mission, vision, and values in curriculum, teaching, and membership in the community.
