EHS Engineer II-Hybrid
Fantastic opportunity to join a large multinational Medical Device Company in Cork. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing or chemical/biological safety. Please submit CV to rachel@cregg.ie to discuss.
About the role:
Work week: Monday-Friday 39hr week with a 1pm Friday finish
Hybrid: 2 days work from home offered.
Responsibilities
* Support new projects to ensure operational EHS readiness.
* Complete EHS Design reviews of equipment and facilities.
* Manage the company's safety training needs analysis for all employees within the organisation
* Plan, develop and coordinate the company's risk management programme.
* Develop and review Safe operating procedures.
* Develop and implement health promotion programmes within the business.
* Maintain compliance with EHS regulatory requirements including ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO50001 and Global EHS standards.
* Provide support and advice to safety representatives and safety committees.
* Review and approve Site Safety permits
* Support sites chemical management and IH programs.
* Participate in the company’s safety walks and internal audit program
* Maintain the sites chemical inventory.
* Support the site’s waste management program.
* Collaborate and support other functions within the business in promoting Environmental, Health and Safety behaviours.
Qualifications
* Health and safety qualification with a minimum of 3years post qualification experience in Manufacturing environment preferably medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
* Experience in Chemical and Biological Safety would be an advantage.
* Ability to influence at all levels in the organisation.
