Senior Electrical Project Manager – Synchronous Condenser experience
About the Company
We are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading consultancies who Project Manage a number of programs related to power, transmission and distribution and offshore programs. They are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager with experience in offshore power to work on some of Ireland’s most essential projects. This client is looking for people who are self-starters, passionate about project management and have strong technical knowledge in that area of power and distribution. You will be able to manage a number of projects simultaneously and experience with Synchronous Condenser would be greatly valued.
This role is suited to people from a consulting background.
About the Position
These projects are related to offshore projects.
1. Developing and deploying project controls and planning strategies, processes, procedures and systems to ensure effective - integrated scope, cost and schedule planning.
2. Development and agreement of project baselines (scope, cost, time).
3. Efficient progress measurement and earned value management reports.
4. Change management and control.
5. Development of reports, KPI’s and dashboards.
6. Constructability Assessments on greenfield sites.
7. Represent the company to the client in all aspects of the projects.
8. Claims and dispute management.
9. Manage construction teams and project schedules.
10. Procurement of front-end electrical engineering.
11. Project Controls.
12. Technical engagement with external consultants, contractors, utilities and grid companies.
13. CAPEX management.
Experience/Requirements
For this role you are required to have:
1. 5 years experience in project management.
2. Synchronous Condenser experience.
3. Experience in offshore programs.
4. Knowledge of the technical specification design function.
5. Health & Safety Management.
6. Project Management experience.
7. Bid and Tender experience.
8. Client and sub-contractor management.
9. A reputation for project delivery.
10. Worked in the Commercial/Industrial sector.
Remuneration Package
