Facilities Operations Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and improvement of our facilities infrastructure. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining facilities equipment and services.
This includes analyzing processes within the facility and utility support functions to identify opportunities for improvement and implement change. You will work closely with other departments and outsourced partners to ensure successful delivery of the facilities function in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a comparable role, preferably in a GMP manufacturing setting, with a proven track record of delivering improvement projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with other departments to maintain facilities infrastructure and services in compliance with regulatory requirements and global policies.
* Support continuous improvement by participating in projects, system failure studies, and incident investigations using recognized methodologies.
* Develop and execute change control related to the Engineering function and participate in Lean initiatives such as Gemba and Kaizen events.
* Accountable for compliance via documentation completion, risk assessments, closing out corrective actions, and participating in audits and inspections.
* Escalate issues in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders and support the resolution of any such issues.
* Manage vendors for on-site activities ensuring compliance with safety and permitting requirements.
* Supervise temporary building utilization and respond to issues as they arise.
* Oversee building utilization and conduct periodic occupancy checks.
Additional responsibilities may include drafting presentations and reporting progress to stakeholders as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in an engineering, science, or technical discipline.
* Lean Six Sigma methodology experience desired with Green Belt certification.
* Considerable experience in a comparable role typically gained operating as an independent contributor.
* Experience within facilities and utilities support areas in a GMP manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
