Job Description
The primary objective of this Field Service Engineer is to provide expert technical support to Philips Imaging customers and partners.
This role entails working both individually and as part of a wider team to install, maintain and repair technologically advanced imaging equipment. This includes operating at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice and solutions to customers and colleagues.
The position will be field-based, covering the South East area and will involve carrying out corrective, preventative, installation and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems.
Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, hardware and software system failures using established procedures and information, determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime, and actively participating in an ongoing rotation with the Field Service Engineer team.
The ideal candidate will possess a customer-first attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Experience in carrying out corrective and preventative works for Imaging Systems devices and equipment is highly desirable.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be competent in IT/network diagnosis/system connectivity/remote service, able to process knowledge across multi-modality and diverse product ranges, and recognize new technologies and adapt to daily challenges.
A degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent is highly desirable, along with experience in delivering high levels of customer service. The candidate should be living in the South West region, ideally around London or South East.
