Key Accountant Role

As a senior accountant in this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial performance of the retail business, providing key insights to drive growth and profitability.

The role involves:
* Month-end closing: Performing month-end accounts preparation and closing activities to ensure timely delivery of accurate and informative reporting.
* Balance sheet management: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of retail balance sheets, driving asset value and managing cash flows.
* Financial analysis: Conducting thorough analyses of retail margins, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with stakeholders to implement changes.
* Insights: Providing expert financial guidance and presenting recommendations for future strategies, acting as the finance subject matter expert across the business.
* Forecasting and budgeting: Preparing budgets and forecasts in alignment with the company's strategic direction, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders.
* Operational and process improvement: Identifying and implementing efficient processes to enhance retail and finance functions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Qualified accountant with 4+ years' PQE
* Motor industry experience essential
* Experience with Keyloop (Kerridge/ADP) dealer management system desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships and work collaboratively
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Proven financial acumen and analytical mindset, with commercial awareness and ability to provide insights to drive business growth
* Proficiency in Excel and other software for financial analysis and modelling
* Adept at building relationships with key stakeholders in Retail and Finance and the broader business
