Job Summary: As a Night Porter at Westport Estate, you will ensure the security, safety, and impeccable presentation of the Estate overnight, while delivering warm, attentive guest service.
You'll oversee night audits, patrolling the campsite, enforcing site rules, support smooth operations across departments, and respond to guest needs with professionalism and care.
This hands-on role requires vigilance, authority, initiative, and a passion for upholding high standards of hospitality.
Principle Responsibilities To implement and carry out all tasks in accordance with procedures as outlined in the Nights Security Manual.
To have a comprehensive knowledge and actively promote all estate facilities.
To ensure the highest standards of presentation and safety of the Estate are maintained at night.
To carry out all necessary tasks pertaining to Night Audits, including relevant reports and safety checks.
Patrol the camp site, monitor guest behaviour and enforce quiet hours and site rules.
Participate in all training with the night team members and implement all agreed procedures.
Supervise the nights ensuring that you carry out all duties assigned.
Consistent enforcement of rules and regulations.
To ensure all tasks and checklists are actioned and completed during shift.
Deal with all customer queries as arising and be approachable and understanding to guests.
To ensure that the Estate is always secure, and safe for guests e.g., that no emergency exits are blocked.
Bring any issues to the attention Farmyard Office Supervisor and Head of Operations.
To maintain effective communications with all other Departments of any events or health and safety concerns arising.
To ensure that all guests are greeted with a friendly welcome and offered the highest standards of guest care and customer satisfaction throughout their stay.
To have full knowledge of and be able to act upon the Estate Fire and Health and Safety Procedures.
To complete all duties and tasks with due care for the Health and Safety of yourself and other employees and guests.

Hands on operational style with high visibility within the team and for our guests.
Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations.
Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 years' experience in night security role.
Ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
Proven experience in coaching and leading a team to provide exceptional customer service.
First Aid Certification is highly desirable.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
