Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of the deli department, ensuring smooth operations and high standards at all times.
* Lead, train, and motivate the deli team to provide excellent customer service.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
* Manage stock levels, ordering, waste, and margins effectively.
* Create and maintain attractive food displays, ensuring freshness and quality.
* Implement promotional plans and seasonal offerings.
* Handle scheduling, rostering, and staff performance management.
* Drive sales, maintain cost control, and achieve weekly targets.
Requirements
* Previous deli management or supervisor experience in a fast-paced food/retail environment.
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
* Proven ability to manage, coach, and lead a team effectively.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
* Strong focus on customer service and quality.
* Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
