Laboratory Supervisor
Lead a Team of Analysts
As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will lead a team of 6 analysts. You will oversee the in-process testing and laboratory operations.
A typical day in this role will include:
* Manage laboratory personnel and operations within approved budget.
* Create and maintain a high-performance collaborative laboratory team with focus on customer needs, compliance and efficient operation.
* Lead and demonstrate expertise in the areas of Chemistry and Microbiology in-line with Quality System requirements, ISO standards and corporate requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve lab efficiencies.
* Ensure that all testing and operational procedures and practices comply with current regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
* Adopt new products to the site into the laboratory testing schedule through change control and validations in accordance with applicable regulations.
* Interpret analytical results and work with AS&T to resolve technical and/or operational problems; and provide technical advice and support to other departments within the facility.
* Keep up to date with technical and regulatory trends and ensure laboratory operations reflect same and are maintained in validated state.
* Utilize LEAN methodologies to achieve improved efficiencies in the laboratory.
* Back up and support analytical data review in the laboratory.
* Ensure Analysts in the Lab are cross-trained across Chemistry and Microbiology.
* Ensure Lab equipment performance is maintained by preventative maintenance of lab equipment and adequate Laboratory systems.
* Adhere to in-house Health and Safety requirements.
* Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to regulations and corporate requirements.
* Participate in the annual Lab budget preparation and monitor budget expenditure.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or pharmacy with experience in Pharma or medical device
- Minimum 2 years' experience in people management.
- Must have good PC skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Good multitasking ability.
