This is a role for someone who genuinely loves to help others and make each day meaningful for our residents.What You’ll Be DoingEnsure a person‑centred approach is facilitated to each person who is supported to live as independently as possibleProvide motivation, support and guidance in activities of daily living as outlined in everyone’s Person Centred PlanProvide companionship and emotional support to residentsAdminister medications in accordance with Riverview Community Living Responsible and Safe Administration of Medication Policy and ProceduresLog and document all care provided on the Health Care Management System (EPIC)Work as a Keyworker providing a high standard of care to the individual supported when requestedContribute and assist in the development and implementation of individual Person‑Centred PlansConsider the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of people supported and support their right to worship as they see fitAssist each person to develop and maintain contacts within the community including the development of relationships with others such as families and friendsAssist each person to cope with their varying levels of ability ensuring that they achieve the highest possible level of independence and maintain existing skills of personal careSupport and assist each person with domestic care and social activitiesEnsure that the physical and intimate care needs of each person are met (e.g. self‑care, preparation of meals, wearing of appropriate clothing)Support each person with their finances, facilitate access to their bank if required and log receipts and cross‑check bank statementsStaff members are expected to accompany persons supported on their annual holidays, if required. This will be allocated fairly and in consultation with staffWork in a flexible, responsive manner ensuring, wherever possible that staff are available to meet individual person’s needs.
