Senior Psychiatrist Role
This is a senior psychiatrist position in General Adult Psychiatry, based in Ireland. The successful candidate will lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team to support individuals with complex mental health needs.
The role involves leading a team, working closely with existing general adult services, providing in-patient mental health services for adults with complex needs. Referrals are accepted from across Ireland.
* Provide psychiatric services to patients and residents for regulatory compliance.
* Support the development of clinical governance and implementation of strategic plans.
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team in the specialist neuropsychiatric service.
* Provide teaching, research, and academic support at a senior level with Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.
* Deliver on-call commitments as part of a rota.
Reporting Relationship
The post holder reports to the Clinical Director, working closely to ensure provision of comprehensive and responsive services.
Requirements:
* Full registration in the Specialist Register (Psychiatrist) of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland or entitlement to be so registered.
* Seven years post-graduation experience.
* Registered as a general adult psychiatrist with a sub-specialized interest in either Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry desirable.
* Have a management level or position of additional responsibility to their clinical area.
* Demonstrate an ability to lead change and develop clinical services.
