Barden have been engaged by one of the world's most recognised brands to identify a Technical Project Manager to join their time on a DR contract basis.
The IT Project Manager role is responsible for delivering projects within scope, budget, and timeline, to defined standards.
This role requires leadership, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of retail and/or supply chain processes would be extremely advantageous.
I am looking to chat with talent who have a strong project management background where they have contributed and focused on a variety of IT projects both on site and support offices.
Your previous experience of standardising and modernising infrastructure and processes will be key to support on the management of projects within this organisation.
Please note this role will require 5 days onsite in their Dublin HQ to begin with and potential travel to their sites as required for project delivery.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Lead full project lifecycles from initiation through to completion, following established organisational methodologies and governance standards.
Partner with key stakeholders to define scope, objectives, deliverables, and measurable success criteria.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules to manage resources, third-party providers, and overall progress effectively.
Proactively identify and assess risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise impact.
Detect and address project issues, facilitating timely resolution.
Deliver infrastructure modernisation initiatives, including the upgrade and replacement of retail hardware such as tills and point-of-sale (POS) systems, ensuring improved performance, security, and operational efficiency across multiple locations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication, alignment, and collaboration.
Track project performance, identify variances against plan, and implement corrective actions where required.
Oversee budgets and resource allocation, including forecasting and spend management, to optimise efficiency and value.
Chair project meetings, provide regular progress reports, and produce necessary documentation.
Foster strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring consistent engagement and effective expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and best practices.
ABOUT THE PERSON: Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a comparable role, with a focus on hardware and/or infrastructure project delivery.
Formal project management certification beneficial but not essential.
Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects within supply chain and/or high-volume retail settings, including systems such as ERP, CRM, and POS.
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and practices.
Solid understanding of project management frameworks, tools, and delivery methodologies.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and tight timelines.
Effective leadership capabilities, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and coordinating with third-party vendors.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capability, leveraging data to inform decision-making.
Proficient in project management platforms, collaboration tools, and standard business productivity software.
